Nokia has found itself struggling in the smartphone market, but the company still maintains a strong position in the mid and low end market segment in India. However, with the emergence of Indian brands such as Micromax and Maxx, it has started facing tough times even here. All might change with the company's new line up of dual-SIM standby handsets. Nokia India has formally announced the arrival of two new dual-SIM Touch And Type slider phones called the C2-03 and the C2-06. The C2-06 was leaked a couple of months ago. The C2-03 and C2-06 will come preloaded with 10 applications related to sports, ticket bookings, matrimony, classifieds, and news. These dual-SIM handsets are youth-oriented and the company expects to lure in such customers in increasing numbers. The SIM cards are hot swappable, meaning that a user will not have to turn off the device to swap SIM cards. Furthermore, users can customise up to five SIM profiles. Available in peppy colors, the C2-03 and the C2-06 will certainly gain a lot of attention.
The Regional General Manager (West) of Nokia India, Prasanth Mani said, "These 'Touch & Type' phones offer internet, maps and apps experience second to none in the market. With the choice of a touch screen or a keypad, we really have made everything available and easy to use in an affordable phone that comes in both dual and single SIM options".

There isn't much to differentiate between the C2-03 and the C2-06 besides the colour. The C2-06 comes with a metallic finish and a couple of different colours. These two handsets are priced very attractively, which should help Nokia's cause greatly. The MRP of the C2-03 is Rs 4949, while that of the C2-06 is Rs 5349. The handsets have been put up for pre-order on Letsbuy for Rs 4511 and Rs 4903.
